    In our bakery, we avoid artificial flavors and preservatives and rely on honest ingredients to create the perfect batter. Consistency is crucial so that the thin layers adhere to the rotating roller. Baking Baumkuchen is more than a craft – it's an art that unfolds layer by layer. Combing the cakes with a serrated baking sheet creates the typical ring structure, which turns the Baumkuchen into a visual and taste experience. After baking, the Baumkuchen rests on the roller and cools before being finished with the finest chocolate or fondant. At GROCH & ERBEN, this is done by hand – depending on its size, the Baumkuchen is divided into one, two, or three rings, giving it its unique character.

    Our products should be stored in a cool, dry place at a maximum temperature of 18 degrees Celsius. Severe temperature fluctuations, direct sunlight, refrigerators, and heaters will damage our products. Since our Baumkuchen are fresh products, we recommend consuming them promptly to enjoy the full flavor experience.

    For production reasons, some of our Baumkuchen are covered with aluminum foil on the inside, as this was previously applied to the Baumkuchen roller. This foil must be removed before consumption.

    Our Baumkuchen are alcohol-free. The alcohol we use in our ingredients is completely evaporated during the baking process and the high temperatures. What remains is the aroma that gives our Baumkuchen its distinctive flavor.
